There are currently four (4) chapters in Oregon: Astoria/Cannon Beach; Bend; Hood River; and Portland.  Each chapter has leaders and members who :

  • gather to brainstorm daily activities and hosting opportunities for visiting Ticos each autumn;
  • provide outreach to area communities and events so that more people learn of this fabulous organization;
  • maintain current membership directories; and
  • ensure potential travelers to Costa Rica are entered onto the roster (currently a maximum of 16 travelers annually)

There are currently eight (8) chapters in Costa Rica:  San Jose; Guapiles; Ciudad Quesada; Nicoya; Grecia; Liberia; Perez-Zeladon; and Tilaran.  Each chapter there is organized more as social clubs, with monthly activities planned outside of hosting visiting Oregonians as part of exchanges.  These activities may include supporting visits to area nursing homes, planting trees, and other community service endeavors.
